GMHV Announces Groundbreaking Partnership With RemarkableAgents.com
April 16, 2007
GetMyHomesValue.com, a Lancaster-based provider of cost-effective real estate lead generation and business development solutions, has formed a partnership with RemarkableAgents.com, an online business solution service for real estate professionals.
“This partnership will save agents literally THOUSANDS of dollars,” says GetMyHomesValue.com co-founder Dave Conklin. “This is a first. We couldn’t dream of doing this when we were agents. We’re offering our agents a fully customizable, personalized website at no additional cost.”
“It’s so easy that our agents can literally change the entire look of their site every day if they want! When we had our websites as agents, we had to pay the webmaster to update our sites with content that WE wrote ourselves…and that was after paying $3,000 to $4,000 for the site itself!”
Conklin says agents can set up their new website and go live within 10 minutes or less. “If you can click a mouse, you can set up a RemarkableAgents.com website,” he says.
Co-founder Steve Young adds that this is a ground breaking partnership. “We’re the first company to offer a fully customizable website like this,” Young says. “Agents can add listings with just an MLS number and zip code; generate buyer, seller and refinancing leads; add new pages for their own tips…the possibilities are endless. There are over 70 pages of consumer handouts built in to the site, as well.”
“A lot of work went into making this happen,” says co-founder Rory Wilfong. “We have just about everything a real estate professional needs, and this is just the beginning. It’s only going to get better as we add new tools. Every agent has ”

GetMyHomesValue.com Unveils New Industry Precedent, Weekly Podcast
March 15, 2007
RISMEDIA, March 15, 2007-GetMyHomesValue.com, a Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based provider of real estate leads and services for real estate professionals, announces a weekly podcast with co-founders Rory Wilfong, Steve Young and Dave Conklin.
“This has never been done before in this industry,” says Conklin, “and we’re very excited. It will give us the opportunity to personally address issues concerning the real estate industry as well as questions and concerns with our product in a forum that will benefit everyone.”
The 30-minute podcast will be available every Wednesday through GetMyHomesValue.com’s corporate Web site, www.getmyhomesvalue.com/pro, and will feature all three owners discussing news and trends in real estate as well as feedback from their own GetMyHomesValue.com customer base.
“Real estate professionals are independent business owners,” says Young, “Even if you’re working for ReMax, Coldwell Banker or whoever, you’re really working for yourself. You get paid based on commissions you earn through home sales, and this podcast allows us to be business consultants for real estate professionals. That will include addressing our customers’ concerns and even cancellations.”
Wilfong emphasizes that they, as owners, are in a unique position.
“Not every owner can do this,” he says, “and it’s a tough industry for something like this. Lead generation in general gets a bad rap because there’s this unspoken expectation of immediate gratification…like if a lead isn’t ready to buy or sell within a very short time it’s bad. Whether it is a lead from an open house, your best friend or the Internet, leads are all the same in that you just have to break the ice and cultivate a relationship with them.”
“We will be sharing our own experiences and strategies that worked for us in real estate. We’ve used our own product and been successful with it, so we can be accountable for it as users.”

GMHV Introduces Free Websites For Members
February 9, 2007
Lancaster, PA – GetMyHomesValue.com, a Lancaster, PA-based provider of cost-effective real estate service solutions, announces plans to revolutionize online services for its agents during 2007.
Co-founder Dave Conklin cites the changing market as a primary reason for the change. “Internet lead generation is changing,” Conklin says, “and we’re making modifications to personalize it for both agents and their buyers and sellers.”
Statistics from sources such as Realtor.org show that over 80% of buyers and sellers begin their searches on the internet. GetMyHomesValue.com co-founder Rory Wilfong says many agents need help when it comes to the Internet. “There are a lot of agents paying a lot of money for personal websites that do not do the agent justice.” Wilfong says. “Buyers and sellers will click to another site if an agent’s site looks unappealing. Just being on the internet isn’t enough anymore. You have to be remarkable.”
“We’ve developed a way we can offer an interactive website for our clients at no cost.”

2006 Business of the Year Nominee: GetMyHomesValue.com
January 22, 2007
Finalist:
David Conklin, Steve Young, Rory Wilfong
Co-owners, Lancaster
GetMyHomesValue.com
The Internet has become a major tool in the red estate industry, both for agents and consumers. According to the National Association of Realtors, 70 percent of those initiating the sale or purchase of a home began doing so online.
Recognizing that trend, David Conklin, Steve Young and Rory Wilfong, friends and business partners all under age 40, launched GetMyHomesValue.com in December 2003. Conklin and Wilfong had built successful careers as real estate agents, and Young was an experienced mortgage broker. Together, the trio began generating the business plan for a company – dubbed WebXtreme that would target real estate sprofessionals across the nation with leads produced through GetMyHomesVaiue.com. They did it all without any outside financial backing.
GetMyHomesValue.com continues to be the leading site for WebXtreme, which also has launched two similar sites, NationalAgentDirectory.com, a resource for consumers, and GetTheLowestRate.com, which allows users to shop for lenders to get the lowest interest rates on loans. WebXtreme continues to grow, now offering such sites as QuiltsByAmish.com, ZipCodeGuy.com and Socialmarks.com.
GetMyHomesValue.com connects consumers with a local real estate professional who provides a customized free report on the current value of their home, with no obligation and regardless of whether the homeowner is interested in selling, buying, refinancing or consolidating debt.
Wilfong, who is known by colleagues as “Chief Motivational Officer” of his companies, believes in empowering his staff to reach their full potential through play and spontaneity-and by pursuing their own complementary interests and talents. Currently, a project proposed by an employee is in the planning stages, and that employee has continually provided input and guidance for the new Web site, which will be released in the future.

January 4, 2007
LANCASTER, PA – GetMyHomesValue.com, a Lancaster-based provider of cost-effective real estate service solutions, announces their plan to donate 5% of gross revenues to charity in 2007.
The plan was unveiled at their 2007 Company Kickoff meeting on January 2nd. “We’re very excited about what we will be able to do in 2007,” says co-founder Dave Conklin. “We expect to donate several hundred thousand dollars to charities this year.”

GMHV Becomes Non-Smoking Workplace… Inside and Out
December 28, 2006
LANCASTER, PA – Effective December 29, 2006, Lancaster based companies GetMyHomesValue.com, Performance Home Sales, Performance Mortgage Services and WebXtreme, Inc. will adopt a smoke-free policy.
While smoking is already prohibited inside the companies’ corporate building at 1830 Colonial Village Lane, the new policy prohibits smoking anywhere on the premises. Co-Founder Rory Wilfong says the companies are concerned with employees’ well-being, as well as compliance with laws being enforced by the Department of Health and OSHA.
“We’re really pushing for a healthy working environment,” Wilfong says. “Unfortunately, the number of employees who smoke affects Health Care costs for all businesses, big or small, young or old.”
Company controller and human resources manager Richard Mosteller states that statistics in an American Lung Association report were a catalyst for the companies revisiting their current policy. In addition to known health risks, the report says smoking costs the United States about $97 billion each year in health-care costs and lost productivity.
“Rising health insurance costs are a major concern for every business,” says Mosteller. “We want to take care of our employees, and this is a way we can keep health insurance more affordable. We’re also concerned about the increasing number of non-smokers who are well qualified and have a choice between a non-smoking or smoking workplace. We’d hate to miss out on a great candidate for a position just because they don’t want to be around smokers.”

GMHV Introduces New “Tech Shadowing” Program
November 14, 2006
Local Technology Firm Helps Prepare Next Generation
LANCASTER, PA – GetMyHomesValue.com, a Lancaster-based provider of cost-effective real estate service solutions, announces a new program to give local high school students a first hand introduction to the expanding use of technology in today’s workplace.
Friday, November 10th Hans Weaver, a sophomore at Lancaster Mennonite High School, became the first student to participate in GetMyHomesValue.com’s new “Tech Shadowing” program when he spent the afternoon with IT Director Alex Barger. “It’s exactly how it sounds,” says Lori Lilly, GMHV’s Technology Assistant who spearheaded the program. “A student follows the tech through the afternoon’s work and sees first hand what goes on. We expect and encourage lots of questions because every student’s expectations will be different.”
Barger, who soon will be a new father, has personal motivation for working with students. “My dad taught me about computers and technology when I was very young,” Barger remembers. “And I look at this as a great opportunity to do the same and share my experience with the younger generation and help them. Technology is getting more and more competitive.”
Weaver says he wanted to learn more about the business aspect of technology. “It was fun and I learned a lot,” he said. “I liked being able to see software applications in the workplace.”
Lilly says GMHV would like to bring in students regularly. “The time was right for us to start this program,” she says. “It’s something we’ve been wanting to do, and we feel it’s a great way to support our local high schools. I guess you could say we want to help prepare the next generation of IT experts.”
