The Internet has become a major tool in the red estate industry, both for agents and consumers. According to the National Association of Realtors, 70 percent of those initiating the sale or purchase of a home began doing so online.
Recognizing that trend, David Conklin, Steve Young and Rory Wilfong, friends and business partners all under age 40, launched GetMyHomesValue.com in December 2003. Conklin and Wilfong had built successful careers as real estate agents, and Young was an experienced mortgage broker. Together, the trio began generating the business plan for a company - dubbed WebXtreme that would target real estate sprofessionals across the nation with leads produced through GetMyHomesVaiue.com. They did it all without any outside financial backing.
GetMyHomesValue.com continues to be the leading site for WebXtreme, which also has launched two similar sites, NationalAgentDirectory.com, a resource for consumers, and GetTheLowestRate.com, which allows users to shop for lenders to get the lowest interest rates on loans. WebXtreme continues to grow, now offering such sites as QuiltsByAmish.com, ZipCodeGuy.com and Socialmarks.com.
GetMyHomesValue.com connects consumers with a local real estate professional who provides a customized free report on the current value of their home, with no obligation and regardless of whether the homeowner is interested in selling, buying, refinancing or consolidating debt.
Wilfong, who is known by colleagues as “Chief Motivational Officer” of his companies, believes in empowering his staff to reach their full potential through play and spontaneity-and by pursuing their own complementary interests and talents. Currently, a project proposed by an employee is in the planning stages, and that employee has continually provided input and guidance for the new Web site, which will be released in the future.

GMHV Announces Partnership With NationalAgentDirectory.com

LANCASTER, PA - GetMyHomesValue.com, a Lancaster-based provider of cost-effective real estate service solutions, has formed a partnership with the NationalAgentDirectory.com, a free online service which allows people buying or selling a home to find a qualified real estate professional.
GetMyHomesValue.com plans to introduce the partnership to their customers with a free listing in the Directory.

GMHV To Donate 5% Of Gross Revenues To Charity in 2007

LANCASTER, PA - GetMyHomesValue.com, a Lancaster-based provider of cost-effective real estate service solutions, announces their plan to donate 5% of gross revenues to charity in 2007.
The plan was unveiled at their 2007 Company Kickoff meeting on January 2nd. “We’re very excited about what we will be able to do in 2007,” says co-founder Dave Conklin. “We expect to donate several hundred thousand dollars to charities this year.”
GetMyHomesValue.com will make the donations to the American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes and Hospice. “Our clients will choose what charity they would like their portion of the donation to go to,” Conklin explains. “And they will receive a quarterly report from us showing how much money went to each of the three charities.”
Co-founders Dave Conklin, Rory Wilfong and Steve Young have been active with numerous charities, including Toys For Tots and Habitat For Humanity, since starting GetMyHomesValue.com in 2003.
